Amaal Mallik Says Big Actors Target Kartik Aaryan Like Sushant

Singer Amaal Mallik, has alleged that Kartik Aaryan is under fire by those in places of power who seek to crush him or at least intimidate him in what has been a chilling comparison to Sushant Singh Rajput.

Kartik Aaryan: Amaal Mallik Claims “Big Actors Want Him Gone”

In a shocking confession that has sent a shiver down the spine of the Bollywood industry, music composer and singer Amaal Mallik, has alleged that Kartik Aaryan is under fire by those in places of power who seek to crush him or at least intimidate him in what has been a chilling comparison to Sushant Singh Rajput. These words by Mallik in her latest interview rekindle all-time arguments on the issues of nepotism, power fraternity, and supposed institutional marginalization within the Hindi film business.

Mallik assured that even though Aaryan has been majorly successful and is a rising star, there are big actors and producers who, as Mallik put it, want him gone. According to him, he is also new… usko bhi 100 log hatane ki firak mein hain (He, too, is new). They are big big producers, directors and actors and they play powerplay.” This indirectly heralds an attempt at marginalizing the actor/musician or sabotage him, as one might expect of the battles the freelancer and the outsider find themselves up against in Bollywood.

The most influential part of what Mallik said was that his direct comparison was with Sushant Singh Rajput. The sudden demise of Rajput in 2020 resulted in a huge upsurge of indignation and probe into inner world of Bollywood where all fingers were raised to the topics of cliques and unfair treatment of the untouched. This is directly mentioned by Mallik, when he said, “The death of Sushant Singh Rajput has made everyone clean up…” And today, you see, the same things, indirectly or directly with Kartik Aaryan, people do that too.” This means that the same issues in the background which led to distress of Rajput is shifting towards Aaryan.

Mallik also recognized how resilient Aaryan was as he recalled, “Woh bhi us problems se rather joojh ke, smile likha hue nikla, dance karte hue nikla hai.” He owed this to the fact that the parents of Aaryan stood firm in supporting him implying that personal support system is of vital importance in withstanding these survivable pressures in the industry.

Kartik Aaryan has faced accusations of being “sidelined” from certain projects. There have been reports about his disappearing act from major projects in the past, which led to rumors regarding industry politics at play. Nonetheless, Aaryan has repeatedly made strong comebacks, had commercial hits, and maintained engagement with his fans and public as a “self-made” star, in unified class of dynasties traditionally in the industry.
Amaal Mallik’s remarks brought up the “dark side of Bollywood” once again. It emphasizes the existing belief for many that the industry operates by favour and politics and not solely based on merit. We may argue the details of his alleged “targeting” but Mallik’s statement likening him to Sushant Singh Rajput has exacerbated the situation further and gives fans and industry observers reasons to consider the larger issues.

It is an important revelation that even if there is glitter and glamour, Bollywood in the end remains an unpleasant place for people who can’t navigate the violent complexities of it at times.
