Actor Karan Singh Grover and Bipasha Basu were blessed with their daughter, Devi Basu Singh Grover, in November last year. However, their parenting journey took an unexpected turn when they discovered that Devi was born with two holes in her heart, diagnosed as ventricular septal defect (VSD). At just three months old, Devi underwent a challenging and major six-hour surgery to rectify the condition.

Bipasha’s Tough Parenting Journey:
In an Instagram Live chat with Neha Dhupia, Bipasha opened up about their difficult journey as parents, expressing that it was a lot tougher than it seemed. She emphasized that she wouldn’t wish such an experience for any mother. Initially unaware of what VSD meant, Bipasha and Karan went through a period of confusion and numbness. However, Devi’s resilience and strength since birth amazed them.

Devi’s Successful Surgery:
Bipasha shared that she extensively researched and prepared for the surgery, even though Karan was initially not ready for it. The decision to go through with the operation was difficult, but they believed it was the best for their child. Devi’s surgery was successful, and she is now doing well.
Bipasha expressed her gratitude to the mothers who supported her during this challenging time. She revealed that she went without proper sleep for 40 days and nights while taking care of Devi.

The couple, who got married in 2016, shared an update that their daughter is now in good health and doing fine. Despite the difficulties, Bipasha and Karan are embracing the joys and challenges of parenthood with love and strength.
