UP Cop on Pak Woman’s Alleged Spy Links Investigated; Entry and Conversion Issues Raised
UP Cop on Pak Woman: Director General of Police Prashant Kumar, the Uttar Pradesh Special Director General of Police, asserts that it would be premature to brand Seema Haider, a Pakistani citizen who illegally entered India and lives in Noida with her partner, as a spy unless there is substantial evidence to support the claim.

Seema’s Possessions Examined:
He declined to comment on whether Seema would be deported and denied any security lapse at the porous Indo-Nepal border, through which she entered India. Seema and her Indian partner, Sachin Meena, were interrogated by the Anti-Terrorist Squad, and during the questioning, items such as video cassettes, mobile phones, Pakistani passports (both authorized and one unused with incomplete details), and an identity card were found in her possession.

Seema’s Entry and Conversion:
Seema had stated that she entered India through the Nepal border and came to Noida to be with Sachin, whom she met through the online game PUBG. The police confirmed that they had first communicated in 2020 and met in person in Kathmandu in March 2023. Seema returned to Nepal from Pakistan on a tourist visa and entered India through the Siddharthnagar border. Both Seema and Sachin were arrested for illegal entry and harboring illegal immigrants but were granted bail and now live together with her children in Rabupura. Seema expressed her desire to stay in India and claimed to have converted to Hinduism. The police have stated that the matter is being handled within the legal framework, and no decision on deportation has been made yet.
