Sonia Gandhi wrote a letter to ISRO chief on Chandrayaan 3 success!
On August 23, India made history by making a soft landing of the Chandrayaan-3 spacecraft on the south pole region of the Moon. Furthermore, India has also joined US, China, and the Soviet Union as the only three countries to launch a spacecraft to the moon.
The mission, which is expected to have cost more than 600 crores, started more than a month ago. According to ISRO Chairman S. Somnath, India’s next spaceflight will be a human lunar mission.
Congress Chief Sonia Gandhi wrote a letter to ISRO Chief S Somnath to congratulate him and the team for the success of Chandrayaan-3 and to let him know how thrilled she was by the Indian Space Research Organisation’s achievement.
She wrote, “It is a matter of great pride and excitement to all Indians, particularly the younger generation. The outstanding abilities of ISRO have been developed over many years. It has had exceptional leaders, and a culture of teamwork has always been at its core. The fact that it has been founded on self-reliance since the early 1960s has contributed to its outstanding triumphs.”
On Thursday ,Congress also Targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi for hogging the limelight after the success of Chandrayaan-3.
Congress national secretary K.C. Venugopal criticized the Prime Minister on X (formerly Twitter) for “hogging the limelight,” saying that the joy and pride of the Chandrayaan-3 landing will “stay with us for a long time.”
“However, the PM must take responsibility for his inconsistency. After the landing, you were quick to go on screen and claim credit, but why has your government failed so miserably to support the researchers and the ISRO? “, he asked.
