The world was hoping to get overcome from Covid- 2019 and thought that 2022 would be a relief to us but no one knows that 2022 would be the biggest change in the political world


Political events of 2022:- On February 24, 2022, Russia began a “special military operation”, claiming it was necessary to compel the “demilitarisation and denazification of Ukraine.” After that Ukrainians fled their homeland for security abroad. That coverage helped obscure humanitarian and refugee crises elsewhere in the world. it also highly impacted the global economy, food crisis, and massive death and injuries.

Punjab Election: In March 2022 Punjab game of thrones finally came to a rest after the Massive Victory of AAP in the Punjab election with a tally of 92 seats. Later in the year, AAP’s stunning performance in Punjab was largely reflected in the Delhi MCD elections. The BJP, which had held the reins for 15 long years, was ousted by the nation’s newest political party. The AAP won 134 seats, while the BJP won over 100.

Nupur Sharma: In June 2022 Nupur Sharma the spokesperson of the Bharatiya Janata Party made a controversial statement that wreaked havoc not only in India but the major Islamic state, She made inflammatory remarks during a discussion about the controversy surrounding the Gyanvapi mosque.

later she got suspended from the party. Her comments sparked riots in several parts of the country and a fact-checker who had made her video viral was arrested.

Mahsa Amini: In September 2022 22-year-old Mahsa Amini was allegedly beaten to death under the custody of Iran police over the forced hijab rules her death sparked rage globally and it created a chain of anti-government in many countries of the world. Iranian troops brutally suppressed the protests and killed more than 400 people in the process.

Iranian security personnel reportedly stated that the average age of protestors was 15 according to the New York Times. According to Amnesty International, The fatal crackdowns prompted “global action“.

Sri Lanka Economic Crisis: In June 2022 Sri Lankan president Mahinda Rajapaksa resigned, the country declared an emergency after the shortage of fuel, food and medicines etc. There were outbreaks and protests across the country, people even captured the Presidential palace. After the crisis, many countries came to support Sri Lanka.

Draupadi Murmu: In July 2022 for the first time in Indian history Draupadi Murmu became the first Tribal women president of India. She became the first president who was born after independence and the youngest to occupy the highest post. She also becomes India’s second woman president.

Rishi Sunak: The son of African-born Hindu parents of Indian Punjabi descent, Sunak is the first Indian-origin prime minister. He became PM on the day of Diwali. The privately-educated Sunak became prime minister without a single vote cast in his favour, and after replacing elected prime minister Liz Truss, who resigned in October.

Death of Queen Elizabeth II: In September 2022 The death of Queen Elizabeth affected the United Kingdom as well as other countries across the world. The lyrics of the national anthem of the United kingdom changed to “in a world with a queen” and her oldest son Charles became King Charles III.

Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra: Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra The Gandhi family scion is currently on a massive march on foot from Kanyakumari to Kashmir, “trying” to comfort an “India divided on various grounds.” The BJP has mocked him for it, calling it just another attempt to relaunch the leader.

The saffron party also made fun of the effort, emphasising that Rahul should perform a “Jodo” to maintain discipline in his party. However, his yatra received a huge amount of support, and Raghuram Rajan, a former RBI governor, joined forces with him.

Mulayam Singh Yadav: In October 2022 the founder of the Samajwadi party and the three times chief minister of Uttar Pradesh Mulayam Singh died at the age of 86. At the age of 15, he came across the writings of the Indian socialist Ram Manohar Lohia and became active in politics.

Yadav’s ideals on defending the rights of lower-caste Hindus and the minority Muslim community were greatly impacted by Lohia’s beliefs concerning the equality of peoples and other social justice issues.
