Jharkhand CM Urges President’s intervention for peace in Manipur due to violence against women and government’s inaction.


Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren expressed deep concern over the distressing violence against women in Manipur. The Jharkhand CM Urges President Droupadi Murmu to take immediate action to restore peace in the northeastern state. 

CM Demands Justice:

He appealed for justice to be served and emphasized the importance of ensuring harmony and tranquility in Manipur. Soren accused the Union government of neglecting the issue and trying to suppress the voices of the media and people regarding the conflict.

CM Urges Peace in Manipur:

Highlighting Manipur’s rich tribal culture and contributions to Indian sports with renowned athletes and Olympic medalists, Soren noted that even they are affected by the ongoing strife. Despite their pleas for assistance from the central government to restore peace in the conflicted regions, there has been complete silence. Soren stressed the urgency of addressing the situation, emphasizing that no fellow tribal citizens should suffer such barbaric treatment. He called for collective efforts as a nation to aid Manipur in healing and restoring peace.
