2 girls raped in the capital of Jharkhand, Ranchi by their 3 friends while coming late night after attending a fair in the city
Police said, on Monday July 17, 2 girls were raped including a minor by their three friends while returning after attending a fair. All the three accused are in police custody.
According to the statement given by the girls, the girls were on a night hangout party and went out to attend a fair which was held in the city with their 3 boyfriends, who gang raped them after attending the fair.
All the accused involved in the rape are arrested and are under police custody, as said by a police official.

This is the second such incident in the city. Earlier, a similar case of brutality was reported against a minor on July 15.

While on camera, Ranchi SSP Kishore Kaushal told to media that “A First Information Report (FIR) of gang-rape of the girls was launched. Taking rapid action, the police arrested all the three main accused and started the investigation.”

“Evidence has been collected. The Forensic team has also been called to collect all the evidence from the scene.“
According to one of the BJP spokespersons, Pratul Shahdeo, women are not safe in Hemant Soren’s Government (Chief minister of Jharkhand). Seeing the National Crime Record Bureau (NCRB) data, 5,500 incidents of rape have been reported in the last 3.5 years in Jharkhand.
