Ankit Baliyan Murder: Chilling CCTV Shows 4 Attackers Closing In On Singer Before Shooting Him 5 Times

The Ankit Baliyan Murder case has sent shockwaves through Haryana and western Uttar Pradesh after chilling CCTV footage emerged showing four suspected attackers closing in on the popular Haryanvi singer before opening fire outside a gym in Shamli. The 32-year-old singer and YouTuber was attacked on the evening of August 26, 2026, in Uttar Pradesh.

According to reports, Baliyan had just left a gym in Shamli and was walking towards his SUV when the attackers approached on two motorcycles. CCTV footage has helped investigators reconstruct the movements of the suspects before and after the shooting.

CCTV Footage Captures The Fatal Attack

The CCTV visuals have become a key part of the police investigation. Baliyan can reportedly be seen leaving the gym carrying a bag and heading towards his vehicle. Four men then appear to follow and surround him before gunfire breaks out.

The attack reportedly lasted around 25 seconds. News reports have cited different figures for the number of rounds fired, ranging from around 12 to approximately 18 or more. However, reports indicate that five bullets struck Baliyan, causing fatal injuries.

After the shooting, the attackers reportedly escaped on two motorcycles. CCTV footage from multiple locations is now being examined to trace their escape route. Police teams have reportedly followed movements through parts of Shamli, Ghaziabad’s Loni area, Delhi and Sonipat, with the suspects believed to have moved towards Haryana.

Ankit Baliyan Murder Investigation Intensifies

The Uttar Pradesh Police and Special Task Force are investigating several angles in the Ankit Baliyan Murder case. Authorities are working to identify the four shooters and establish the motive behind the attack.

A social-media post attributed to the Gogi gang has claimed responsibility for the killing. Police, however, are verifying the authenticity of the claim rather than treating it as established fact. The alleged post reportedly linked Baliyan to rivals and referred to a song associated with the gang.

The alleged gang connection has added another dimension to the case, raising questions about whether the killing was connected to ongoing criminal rivalries in Haryana and western Uttar Pradesh.

Who Was Haryanvi Singer Ankit Baliyan?

Ankit Baliyan was known for his work in the Haryanvi music industry and had also built a following as a YouTuber. Reports say he had worked on more than 50 songs and had a significant presence among regional music audiences.

His music frequently included themes involving guns, rivalry, confrontation and an assertive rural identity. One of his songs, featuring the line associated with shooting in a courtroom, has attracted renewed attention following his murder. Investigators are reportedly examining whether his music or associations had any relevance to the circumstances surrounding the attack.

However, the presence of violent themes in songs should not by itself be treated as evidence of involvement in criminal activity. The exact motive behind the murder remains under investigation.

Ankit Baliyan Murder Draws Sidhu Moosewala Comparison

The killing has also drawn comparisons with the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala, who was shot dead in Punjab in 2022. Both cases involve prominent regional singers being targeted in armed attacks, leading to concerns about the intersection of music culture, organised crime and gang violence.

The comparison, however, does not establish any direct connection between the two murders. Authorities are still investigating the specific circumstances and possible motive behind Baliyan’s killing.

Gogi Gang Claim Under Police Verification

The alleged Gogi gang connection remains one of the most closely watched aspects of the investigation. A person claiming to represent the gang reportedly posted a message taking responsibility for the killing and making allegations about Baliyan’s links with rival groups.

Police are verifying the claim while continuing to investigate physical and digital evidence. CCTV recordings, the attackers’ escape route, eyewitness information and other evidence could help investigators determine who planned and carried out the shooting.

Protests And Demands For Justice In Uttar Pradesh

The murder has triggered grief and protests in Shamli, with family members and supporters demanding swift action against those responsible. The case has also sparked a wider debate over law and order and gang violence in western Uttar Pradesh and neighbouring Haryana.

As the investigation continues, the CCTV footage is expected to remain an important piece of evidence. Police teams are attempting to identify the four suspected attackers and establish whether the alleged gang claim is genuine.

The Ankit Baliyan Murder has therefore become more than a high-profile criminal investigation. It has raised renewed concerns about the safety of public figures, the influence of gang rivalries and the growing overlap between regional music culture and criminal narratives. Until investigators establish the motive and identify the perpetrators, several aspects of the case remain under investigation.
