Some users have also mentioned a complete loss of signal, leaving them unable to connect in any way.
By 4:26 pm, over 3,600 people had confirmed experiencing issues on Downdetector, reflecting the extent of the disruption. Several affected subscribers also took to X (formerly Twitter) to share their frustrations. Hemant Sharma tweeted, “Hi @Airtel_Presence @airtelindia Voice service is down in Gurugram for last 30 mins, only internet is working, can’t make outgoing or receive incoming. What is happening??” Similarly, Rahul Srivastava asked, “Is Airtel Network down in Delhi? Since 1 hour, I am facing calling issue, incoming and outgoing both. @airtelindia.”

Another user, Prajwal Goyal, expressed his concern over the service disruption, urging the company to resolve the issue quickly. “Services are completely down. Unable to make or receive calls and even messages are not working. This is causing serious inconvenience. Please resolve this issue #AirtelDown #airtelindia,” he wrote.
In response to Mr. Goyal’s post, Airtel acknowledged the outage via its official handle @Airtel_Presence at 4:18 pm. The company stated, “Prajwal, we are currently experiencing a network outage, our team is actively working to resolve the issue and restore services promptly. We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused. Thanks, Team Airtel.”
Later updates from Airtel indicated that a “major part” of the voice service outage in Delhi-NCR had been resolved, offering some relief to subscribers who had been struggling with call disruptions. However, intermittent issues were still being addressed to ensure full restoration of services.
The outage highlights the dependence of users on uninterrupted telecom services, particularly in regions like Delhi-NCR where millions rely on mobile connectivity for work, communication, and emergency services.
