Elli AvrRam Trolled Over Photo, Fans Defend Her Fiercely
A recent picture posted by popular YouTuber Ashish Chanchlani and actress Elli AvrRam has sparked a major internet debate, yet not like one would have anticipated. This image, which appeared to imply that there was a romantic liaison between the two individuals, was subjected to an avalanche of congratulatory messages, as well, unfortunately, to an utterly misogynistic trolling attack directed to Elli AvrRam, particularly with respect to her body count.
Ashish Chanchlani captioned the photo with an emoji of a heart and wrote in a vague manner, clearly indicating that a relationship was in the cards this time with the words, Finally. On a picture, Ashish was holding Elli AvrRam in his arms and they were both grinning in the photo. This instantly went followers in a frenzy of speculation, whether this would mean a relationship announcement, or a good publicity stunt prior to an upcoming collaboration project. As others were celebrating and congratulating the two, an ugly side of internet posts immediately appeared.
Some of the comments on the post went into completely unacceptable direction as they directed their remarks towards Elli AvrRam concerning her past love life and her supposed body count. Sexist doubles standards coloured these comments which were intending to shame and discredit the actress because of a perceived history and needed to be crass and in other cases demeaning. One of the users would comment, according to one user, it was something like this, he/she said, mind your own business, Bro, her body count is more than the kgs you are down, and other users did the same thing and spoke and said other words equally as offensive. This cyberbullying illustrated a common problem on social media where women in the spotlight of publicity would usually experience unnecessary criticism and character defaming processes because of baseless gossiping and backward social attitudes.
Promptly, however, and unlike the case for AvrRam, those trolls were countersolved and literally torn apart by her supporters and a plethora of other people on social media . They immediately condemned the trolls and their egregious misogyny more than once. They pointed out the hypocrisy in judging a woman for relationships while not judging her male counterparts. Many people noted how it was apparently bad to judge a female for her romantic history but it is okay to judge a male.
Immediately, there was a tidal wave of tweets and people saying things like, “What disgusting behavior. Slinging mud at Ashish Chanchlani and Elli AvrRam while calling it “dark humor”? Really. Ultimately, we (people) are all in the same boat regarding relationships and that has done nothing for the validity of relationships, and yet society holds people such as Ranbir Kapoor as heroes while stamp his ‘heroine’ through the mud like society will do to Deepika Padukone for the rest of her life? This equals nothing, it is double standards all around.”

Another common sentiment from supporters was that it was never about choice versus non-choice (in terms of people liking whatever) however, it is insane to random people who are worried about someone’s private life. More or less supporters had the attitude that, “If Ashish Chanchlani is happy then who cares what everyone views her “body count” narrative. Which is hateful.” The point was, it would appear that at some points during all of the tantrum AvrRam voiced something through her post of some kind of reddit gif on the Instagram story with a written: “Your sexiest body part is your mind”. Of course, she added that, “True story”.
