The entertainment world is still reeling under the sudden very shocking demise of Shefali Jariwala. This young girl, famously known as ‘Kaanta Laga’ girl, died at 42 years of age, leaving a big mark in everyone’s heart that is really sad and heartfelt. As early as getting reports, she was taken to Bellevue Hospital in Mumbai late Friday night, when sadly declared dead on arrival. The ripples have resonated across Bollywood with family, friends, and admirers still trying to come to terms with the great sad loss.
“The postmortem has been done at Cooper Hospital. How she died was earlier being stated as cardiac arrest, but it has not been confirmed. In fact, the police have said that the reason for her death remains to be known,” announced Mumbai Police on Saturday. Forensic team along with police officials visited her Andheri residence to kick-start investigation series into her sudden demise.

“Shefali Jariwala was found unconscious in her Andheri residence. Information regarding the incident was received by the police around 1 AM. The network got into motion and her body was sent to Cooper Hospital, where an autopsy is currently being conducted,” said a Mumbai police officer to the media. The investigative team is exploring all angles of the event so as to find out what happened.
His husband, actor Parag Tyagi, was present at home when the incidence happened, and he was among three others who rushed her to the hospital. However, by the time they got to Bellevue Hospital, Shefali was already dead. Videos that made their way online featured a evidently shattered Parag Tyagi, who was seen concealing his face as he sat in a car avoiding the media glare while driving out of the hospital.
This was the first update about Shefali’s death by entertainment journalist Vickey Lalwani, who broke the devastating news on social media. His post read, “Shefali Jariwala, the Kaanta Laga girl, is no more,” which made huge waves of shock and condolences through almost every platform.

Shefali Jariwala started at a very young age, at the age of 20, bringing to the nation the memorable music video titled ‘Kaanta Laga’, which hit the charts and reached millions worldwide. Thereafter, she appeared in many other music albums and films, thus being well-established in West Indian culture. Her dance performances alongside husband Parag Tyagi in the reality shows Nach Baliye 5 and Nach Baliye 7 were appreciated by audiences. He even made it into Bigg Boss 13, where his strong head and honest demeanor made him win a few fans.
Like many other things in life, so too did her private life have its ups and downs. She married Harmeet Singh, a music composer in the duo Meet Bros, in 2004. The two separated in 2009. Later on, Shefali fell in love with actor Parag Tyagi, and they tied the knot in 2015.
