Malaika Arora Reveals Her Daily Wellness Routine Including Yoga, Hydration Therapy, and Intermittent Fasting for a Healthy Balanced Life
With a glowing complexion and enviable fitness, Malaika Arora has always openly advocated healthy living. This Bollywood diva who appeared on the podcast 32 Degrees episode that aired on June 2, divulged juicy fitness secrets to her fans. When she speaks of fitness, it transcends extreme workouts and trendy diets; it is about balance, simplicity, and being mindful.
To this she has added quality sleep. In fact, during that interview, she made it a point to underscore sleep’s importance. In her opinion, “One of the most underrated in the healthy lifestyle is sleep.” “That’s something I swear by. I think it’s very, very important,” she said. It puts the active Malaika on the course for the day. Or perhaps better, as
Water therapy is another crucial part of the wellness regimen. In fact, Malaika told that she is really following the water therapy regiment and has also included it into her restaurant, in Mumbai Scarlett House, by opening a hydration bar. Hydration, according to her definition, does not only involve drinking the appropriate amount of water but consciously keeping the body balance and promoting inner wellness.
In Ayurveda tradition, she starts her day by taking a spoonful of ghee. “I start my day with ghee,” she said, revealing that one’s habit is fundamentally Ayurveda and offers a lot of health benefits. Healthy fats in Ghee help in the process of digestion and also supports an intermittent fasting practice that is strictly practiced by Malaika.
Intermittent fasting is not starving or dieting as per Malaika. It is eating at a specific time slot. The last meal of the day usually happens around 7 p.m. before which nothing solid is consumed until noon the next day. “I do intermittent fasting. It is not about dieting. There is a big difference between dieting and fasting,” she explained. In summary, the fasting routine starts with ghee in the morning and ends with a complete wholesome meal at noon, comprising rice, roti, and sabzi.

Her approach defies the misconception that health needs to be achieved through elimination or extreme limitation of foods. Instead, she would have it every food taken in moderation. She eats carbs without restrictions, and she loves traditional Indian cuisine since it goes to show that fitness can also be integrated within an all-encompassing diet as long as taken in the correct time frames.
Malaika was also not shy to mention yoga and meditation, which are a huge part in maintaining her physical as well as mental health. “Yoga is nothing; it is just breathing.” With her grounded philosophies about fitness, it is not all about heavy core workouts. For her, it is tuning in to the body’s needs and holistic well-being. Her yoga practice is not just for the body but for the mind and soul too—supporting inner peace, clarity, and resilience.
Interestingly, her wellness does not lie behind costly exotic foods, expensive regimes, or limited exclusive trends. It revolves around ghee, early dinners, hydration, sleep, and a bit of yoga and mindful eating. This simplicity makes her routine so relatable and inspiring for her fans.
Unlike other celebrities, among many things that set her apart is her steadfastness. She does not believe in temporary fixes or fads; instead, it’s all about creating lifelong habits. Among her many qualities, including unwavering devotion to intermittent fasting, refusal to eat food after sunset, and self-care routines, reflect that discipline at understanding one’s body.

Whether just starting your journey into fitness or looking to simplify your routine further, Malaika’s shining example shows that true wellness comes from sustainable habits.
