Yogeshwar Dutt does not want silver medal

Yogeshwar Dutt, the Indian wrestler who had won a bronze medal in 60 kg freestyle event at the London Olympics is 2012 was in for a surprise when it was discovered that his bronze was to be upgraded to silver.

This was because Russia’s wrestler Besik Kudukhov who had secured the second position was tested positive for dope.

The wrester was tested positive for dope after his death in 2013 from a car accident.

However, Dutt took to Twitter to express that he did not wish to take the silver medal on humanitarian grounds. He wants Kudukhov’s family to have the medal. He also said that Kudukhov was a great wrestler and his positive dope test was sad, but, he still respects him as a player.

This move by Dutt shows the big man he is.
