Why India is wearing Orange jersey instead of Blue
Indian has always worn the blue jersey in different shades since colourful jersey came in 1992 World Cup. Indian Cricketers will don different colour jersey on their back for the first time. This is happening because of the rules of ICC. According to the rules, two teams cannot play a match with same colour jersey in a World Cup match. The primary colour of both the England and Indian team is blue. England being the host nation has the leverage of staying with their original jersey but India needed to change it. You must be wondering why India didn’t change their jersey against Sri Lanka and Afghanistan. This is because India was the host nation in those matches and being the host team you have the leverage of not changing the colour of the jersey.
India will play against England on 30th June at Edgbaston, Birmingham which is expected to be a Sunday blockbuster. This match will decide the fate of Eoin Morgan’s team in the ongoing World Cup 2019.
