Wayne Rooney nominated as the England Player of Year award


Captain of the Manchester United Wayne Rooney has been nominated as the England Player of the Year for the second successive time after becoming his all-time leading goal scorer of the country.


Rooney , who bagged the award for the fourth time has scored 51 goals in 2015 and break the record of Bobby Charlton’s of 49 goals.

Rooney is the top scorer with seven goals to help England qualify for the Euro Cup 2016 with a perfect record of 10 victory .

Meanwhile, Goalkeeper of Stoke city Jack Butland has been elected for the Under-21s Player of the Year for displaying impressive form during this season.
