Upcoming Marvel Movies and series that should be at the top of your watch list!

We have a piece of good news for all of the Marvel fans across the world. Marvel makers have included a lot of movies/shows in their phase 4 slate. We are going to update all upcoming marvel movies and series that are going to premiere/release between the years 2021 and 2023.

Though we know Phase 4 has already started with the Black Widow, which saw its premiere on 9 July 2021, simultaneously on theatres & the streaming service Disney+Hotstar.

Following this Shang-Chi & recently Eternals saw their theatrical release and soon the 27th film of the Marvel Cinematic Universe(MCU) Spider-Man: No Way Home also going to release in theatres.

The Makers have also released some Web Series this year starting with Wanda Vision, The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, Loki’s first season, What If…? the first season, and recently Hawkeye. They all premiered on the OTT platform Disney+Hotstar as per the deal between Marvel Studios and Disney Hotstar.

Here we are updating the remaining Upcoming Marvel Movies and Series that are going to premiere/release in further years till 2023!

Feature Films

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

After Spiderman: No Way Home which will release on 17 December 2021 Worldwide, the fifth film of the MCU of phase 4 will be Benedict Cumberbatch starrer Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, it is helmed by Sam Raimi, and going to release theatrically on 6 May 2022. John Mathieson is the cinematographer and Bob Murawski is the editor. Currently, Its production has almost wrapped up, except for the few scenes that are delayed due to Covid-19.

Thor: Love and Thunder

Chris Hemsworth is again going to be seen as Thor after the 2017 film Thor Ragnarok. It is directed by Taika Waititi, who also co-wrote the film along with Jennifer Kaytin Robbinson. The production phase concluded in June 2021, and it is slated to release on 8 July 2022. Edited by Maryann Brandon.

 Black Panther: Wakanda Forever

The 7th film of phase 4 of Marvel Universe is Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, which is going to release on 11 Nov 2022. Reportedly it is a sequel of Black Panther (2018). Helmed by Ryan Coogler, he also co-wrote this along with Joe Robert Cole. Cinematography is handled by Autumn Durald. It stars Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Martin Freeman, Letitia Wright, Winston Duke, etc.

The Marvels

Brie Larson starred in The Marvels is going to release on 17 Feb 2023, Apparently, it is a sequel of 2019 Captain Marvel. Reportedly the production of it was started in Aug 2021, It is directed by Nia DaCosta, and the screenplay is written by Megan McDonnell. Apart from Brie Larson, it stars Iman Vellani and Teyonah Parris in the main lead role.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3

It stars Chris Pratt in the role of Peter Quill or Star-Lord who is a half-human, half-alien, who was abducted from earth by ravagers, along with him Zoe Saldana plays Gamora, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, and Vin Diesel also the part of the film. Directed and Screenplay are written by James Gunn. Cinematography by Henry Braham, Editing is done by Craig wood along with Fred Raskin. It is slated to release on 5 May 2023.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is helmed by Peyton Reed and written by Jeff Loveness, it is the 33rd film of the Marvel Universe and apparently a sequel to the 2018 film Ant-Man and the Wasp. It is slated to release on 28 July 2023. It stars Paul Rudd as Ant-Man, Evangeline Lilly, Michael Douglas, Michelle Pfeiffer, Kathryn Newton, and Jonathan Majors.

Fantastic Four

The last or 11th feature film of Marvel Cinematic Universe(MCU) of phase 4 is going to be the Fantastic Four, In March 2019 Marvel Studios acquired the fantastic four film rights after Walt Disney Company, which mostly distributes the Marvel movies, acquired the 21st-century fox. Reportedly Jon Watts will be directing this film. Disney also intended to integrate their two-character X-Men and Deadpool in the MCU, but till now there is no response from Marvel’s side on the latter part.

Web Series

Moon Knight

Moon Knight stars Oscar Isaac playing the character Marc Spector and Moon Knight, It is a 6 episodes mini-series, where the first four episodes are helmed by Mohammed Diab and the other two by the duo Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead. Each episode has a runtime of 40 to 50 minutes. Jeremy Slater is the creator.


In the year 2022, we will see a lady hulk premiering on the OTT platform Disney+ Hotstar. Tatiana Maslany is playing the main character of She-Hulk and a lawyer named Jennifer Walters, She is the cousin of the Hulk or Bruce Banner. It will be a ten-episode Web Series with a run time of 30 minutes. Kat Coiro and Anu Valia are the directors and it is the creation of Jessica Gao.

Secret Invasion is a 6 episodes Web Series, created by Kyle Bradstreet. Sylvaine Dufaux has handled the Cinematography of the show.

The major shooting was held in London, Europe. It stars Samuel L. Jackson plays Nick Fury, Ben Mendelsohn playing Talos, and Cobie Smulders is playing Maria Hill, former S.H.I.E.L.D agent. It is based on the Brian Michael Bendis and Leinil Francis Yu Marvel comics of the same name.

Ms. Marvel

Another upcoming TV series of MCU is Ms. Marvel, which stars Iman Vellani as Ms. Marvel, Aramis Knight, Saagar Shaikh, Matt Lintz, Zenobia Shroff, Mohan Kapur are in pivotal roles. It will be a 6 episode series and will be released by mid-2022. Bisha K. Ali is the creator. Carmen Cabana Jules O’Loughlin has handled the cinematography.

The Guardian of the Galaxy Holiday Special

The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special will premiere in December 2022 on the giant streaming platform Disney+ Hotstar. The shooting of it will happen simultaneously with the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 which is slated to release in the year 2023. It stars Chris Pratt reprising his role as Peter Quill or Star-Lord, Zoe Saldana in the main lead role. James Gunn is the creator. Henry Braham is the cinematographer.

Apart from these Web Series, there are three more series on the way namely Iron Heart, which will be a 6 episodes Web Series, written by Chinaka Hodge. Armor Wars & an Untitled Wakanda Series where Danai Gurira will reprise her role as Okoye.

For the upcoming movies on OTT like Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney Hotstar, SonyLIV, Voot etc.
