Family requested to Supreme Court to not move rape survivor

The Unnao Rape Survivor won’t be shifted New Delhi for injuries which she suffered in the road accident on July 28. Family of the girl told the Supreme Court that they want the treatment to continue in the hospital in Lucknow.

The lawyer had earlier pleaded to airlift the girl from Lucknow to AIIMS Delhi for further treatment. The court had then agreed but today deferred from the earlier order.

 The rape survivor is going through treatment in KMGU hospital in Lucknow

The Unnao rape survivor is currently going through treatment and admitted at the KMGU hospital in Lucknow.  As per the hospital, the girl and her lawyer are currently stable but critical. The girl is on a ventilator and her lawyer is taken off the ventilator.

Uncle will be moved to Tihar jail

Supreme Court has asked Uttar Pradesh Government to move girl’s uncle to Tihar jail.  The uncle is in Rae Bareli jail currently and will be moved over security reasons.  The UP government argued that there are no security threats to the uncle in Rae Bareli still SC asked them to immediately move the uncle to New Delhi. The advocate for UP government said that he is the prime witness for the case so they do not have any objections on moving him.

The Supreme Court also ordered Media to not reveal the survivor’s identity out after there was a word that old interviews of the girl are being run by some media organizations.

BJP MLA Kuldeep Sengar is accused of rape of the girl who was in Samajwadi Party earlier. He jumped to BJP ahead of the 2017 elections in March and the incident happened in June that year.
