India has lots of match-winning players which makes it difficult to choose five players

India has entered the World Cup 2019 as the second favorites. The first one, of course, is the England team. The Indian team has one of the best bowling attacks in the history of Indian Cricket. They are balanced and have the match winners in the team. India has been performing dominantly in the current World Cup in which almost everyone has contributed.  Let’s look into five players who can play an important role in India’s success in the ongoing World Cup.

  1. Jasprit Bumrah

You may have expected Captain Virat Kohli to be the first one in the list but because there are other batsmen who are doing equally good, bowling becomes more important. Jasprit Bumrah is the currently one of the best bowlers in the world cricket and has the ability to nail Yorkers, deceive batsman with slower balls and heckle them with a fiery bouncer. World number one bowler has the capability to take wickets with the new ball as well as the old ball.

  1. Virat Kohli

The reason has been explained why he isn’t on top. However, there isn’t list Virat Kohli won’t top in batting. He has been on roll since he has donned the blue jersey. He has broken many records and has 41 hundred in only 229 matches. The captain Kohli who was rewarded as the ICC ODI player of the year, ICC Test player of the year and cricketer of the year in the year 2018 has a knack of finishing matches.

  1. Rohit Sharma

If there is any player who can match the mighty Kohli in limited overs cricket, it is Rohit Sharma. Since promoted to open, he has been a regular feature in the Indian wins. Double century which people only dream of in ODI cricket, and has been achieved by only four players, Hitman has hit three of them. He has already scored two centuries and a half-century in the world cup and few more innings are expected to come from the classy and stylish batsman.

  1. Hardik Pandya

It would be very cruel not to put this guy in the list. His three-dimensional ability in batting, bowling, and fielding gives India the proper balance in the team. We all know about his hitting ability which we have already seen in the match against Australia and in the recent IPL. He is a complete game changer with the bat and can give India some extra runs at the death while batting.

  1. MS Dhoni

It is sad to see a legend like Dhoni at the fifth number because of his batting position where he doesn’t get enough chance to make enough impact. It is hard on players like Yuzwendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav to not be picked in the list but if we look at the form of Dhoni since January 2018, he has been terrific since then. After playing 15 years of International cricket nobody understands the game of cricket better than Dhoni in current playing cricket players. At the age of 37, he can still give a run for money to any player while running between the wickets and when it comes to finishing the match and reading the condition, he is a legend. Let’s not forget his fast hands behind the wicket and important advice he gives to spinners and captain from behind the wicket.
