Our Khiladi Bhaiya, aka, Akshay Kumar is a buzzing name these days. This is due to his much anticipated upcoming release, Sooryavanshi. The movie was teased at the end of the movie Simmba, which was another cop movie starring Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan. At the end of the movie, Akshay Kumar was introduced as chief DCP Veer Sooryavanshi.

The movie Sooryavashi also features the much-celebrated cop of Bollywood, Bajirao Singham, aka, Ajay Devgn and Simmba, aka, Ranveer Singh. The plot of the story revolves around an attempted terrorist attack, which the chief of the Mumbai Anti-Terrorism Squad, DCP Sooryavanshi is trying to stop. In doing so, he joins forces with Bajirao Singham and Simmba.

However, Sooryavanshi is not the only cop movie Akshay Kumar has signed. Mr Khiladi, just like Ajay Devgn has a connection with cop movies that goes way back to the start of his career. He has played a cop numerous times and there is no doubt that he is good at it.

Whenever we hear Rowdy Rathore, the chants of Chinta Ta Chita Chita go off in our heads. The song was so popular and is so even now. In this movie, Akshay Kumar has played a double role of a cop and a small-time thief. His two characters are totally opposite of the other. However, in a turn of events, the thief had to play a cop to make things right. This movie also starred Sonakshi Sinha as the love interest of Akshay Kumar. The actions scenes of this movie are most thrilling and coupled with Akshay’s comedic timing, this movie was a blockbuster.

Khiladi 786

Khiladi 786 is a super funny movie by our Khiladi Bhaiya. This action-comedy also stars Asin, Mithun Chakraborty, Raj Babbar and Mukesh Rishi. This movie is Akshay’s return to the Khiladi movie series which started way back in his career. These Khiladi movies are also the reason Akshay Kumar was monikered Khiladi bhaiya or Khiladi Kumar.

The story revolves around the wedding of the two leads. Akshay plays a fake cop in the movie. Although not a true cop, Khiladi Kumar is in his wardi most of the time in the movie. Akshay Kumar, along with all the male members of his family, pretends to be a cop in order to gain Asin’s hand in marriage. Asin’s brother, played by Mithun Chakraborty too plays a fake cop. The comedy and the action of the film is spot on and is fun to watch.

Aan: Men At Work

Aan: Men At Work is another one of the cop movies made by Akshay Kumar. This is an action drama film where Akshay got a break from his usual comedic roles. The movie has an ensemble cast that consists of Sunil Shetty, Paresh Rawal and Shatrughan Sinha.

This 2004 movie is about a team of cops trying to rid the city of its increasing list of crimes. However, things go awry when they lose some members of their team.

This movie with power-packed action is a must-watch if you like action dramas.

Main Khiladi, Tu Anari

Main Khiladi Tu Anari is another of Akshay’s action comedies. The movie was released back in 1994. This was a time when Akshay was doing multiple action movies and played serious roles, away from his comedic roles. The movie was the biggest hit of the year making it one of the top 5 highest-grossing movies of the year.

The movie stars Saif Ali Khan and Shilpa Shetty as well. The plot of the movie revolves around a cop ( Akshay) trying to avenge the murder of his brother while dealing with an actor (Saif Ali Khan) who is trying to observe him in preparation for a role. The movie is classic and much loved by its fans.
