Sony turns 21: Happy Birthday Sony


Today, Sony turns 21 and we would like to shower our birthday wishes on Sony. Happy Birthday, Sony! Sony Entertainment Television is a Hindi-language based general entertainment television channel in Indian Subcontinent.

Sony was launched in October 1995 and since then it is one of the best channels, which has kept us entertaining from some of its amazing shows. Well, today is the celebration of its 21st birthday. So, let’s celebrate!

Serials that have seriously broken all the records

There are some shows that still entertain the audiences and we must they have broken all the records. Here, is the list, take a look :

1. “Kuch toh gadbad hai Daya”: CID

CID is one of the oldest show on Sony, it was started in January 1997 and still, the show enjoys a huge fan following. It is an Indian detective television show and was created by B.P. Singh. Three main characters of the show are ACP Praduman, Senior inspector Daya and Abhijeet. CID basically gets shoot in Mumbai and it is telecasted twice a week (Saturday and Sunday). “Kuch toh gadbad hai Daya” is a famous tagline of CID. ACP Praduman always uses this, whenever he encounter any new case.

2. “Dial ek shunye shunye”: Crime Patrol

The trend of real crime shows was first begun by Sony by introducing Crime Patrol. This show basically helps us to know about crime happening around us. Anoop Soni is the host of Crime Patrol. Conceived as a reality series, it was the first show on Indian television, where cameras travelled with the law enforcement authorities to capture crimes live. … The fourth season, titled as Crime Patrol Satark (previouslyCrime Patrol Dastak till 6 July 2014) is still coming up with lots of shocking cases

3. Aahat

Aahat was one of the horror show that was telecasted by Sony and people loved it. It was again created by B.P.Singh. Actors from Om Puri to Ashutosh Rana have starred in the show.

4. “Is Baar Sony Bhut Kharch Kar Raha Hai”: The Kapil Sharma Show

Our favourite comedian, Kapil Sharma also comes on Sony. Earlier, Kapil’s show was telecasted on colors but when things got messed up, the show soon shifted to Sony. As we know Kapil is one of the ‘best standup’ comedians and people love him. Kapil is frequently captured with tagline “Sony Bhut Kharcha Kar raha hai is baar”.
