SCORE’S A LEVEL FOLKS
The Indian cricket team, on Sunday, July 19th was defeated by the Zimbabwe cricket team by 10 runs during the second T20 International in the Harare Sports Club, Zimbabwe.
The Indians toured Zimbabwe for 3ODIs and 2T20Is which ended on Sunday with the visitors failing to produce a no loss tour even after giving satisfactory performances in the ODIs by clinching the series 3-0 and winning the first T20.
It looked good when the Indian bowlers successfully restricted the hosts to go for a big total although opener Chibhabha’s 67 runs off 51 balls helped them put a decent 146 on board.
While with the bat, the main batsmen failed to impress with captain Rahane getting out on just the third ball and after that the batsmen were never really able to pull it off. Although Stuart Binny and debutant Sanju Samson did try to make the partnership work, it was not long before they too were sent back to the pavilion.
India was able to put only 137 on the scoreboard and will now return for some rest which will be followed by the next campaign against the Sri Lankans.
