Rebel MLAs to meet for Ramesh Kumar’s decision matter

Legislative Assembly Speaker KR Ramesh Kumar’s decision on resignation will decide the fate of Karnataka which is going through a big political crisis. The JDS-Congress coalition government is fighting to survive and save their government.

Rebel MLAs are scheduled to meet the speaker today on Tuesday morning to get clarity on the resignation matter. The present coalition government is on the verge of losing the majority if Ramesh Kumar accepts the resignation of 13 MLAs.

If the resignations are accepted in Ramesh Kumar’s decision, government might fall

If the resignations are accepted then the JDP-Congress tally of seats will reach to 103 from 118 in the 224-seat state assembly. The majority number will reach to 105 from 113 and which BJP already has and they have already support of 105 MLAs and two independent have also shown interest in supporting Bhartiya Janta Party.

In the last Vidhan Sabha election in 2018, BJP had emerged as the single largest party with 104 seats, Congress won 80 seats, JDS won 38 seats, BSP won 1 and 2 independent candidates won. Congress combined with all the party except BJP to form a coalition government.

Ministers quit to five CM a chance to accommodate rebel MLAs

All minister vacated their seats from the ministry on Monday to give Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy a free hand to accommodate the rebel MLAs.

Currently, CLP (Congress Legislative party) is organizing the meeting to discuss the matter at Vidhana Soudha in Bengaluru. Siddaramaiah, Priyank Kharge, and other Congress leaders along with the MLA Soumya Reddy, daughter of rebel MLA Ramalinga Reddy is also attending the meeting. The meeting will be closely looking at Ramesh Kumar’s decision.
