Three police officers were suspended on Saturday for delaying the process of registering FIR in the rape and murder case of Telangana Doctor. The police officers were suspended after a detailed inquiry was conducted on the alleged “dereliction of duty on delaying the registration of FIR relating to the missing doctor.”

Sub-inspector M Ravi Kumar, and head constables A Sathyanarayana Goud and P Venu Gopal Reddy are the cops who are suspended. Cyberabad Police Commissioner while speaking to a media channel said that all the police officers of Cyberabad Police have been instructed once again to register cases irrespective of jurisdiction whenever a cognizable offense complaint is received in the police station.

Accused were put in judicial custody because of the tense situation outside the police station

The accused in the case of Telangana rape and murder were sent to the judicial custody for 14 days. A magistrate passed the orders as the accused could not be produced in the fast-track court at Mahabubnagar because there was no judge.  The orders were passed because of the tense situation outside the police station after a large crowd gathered.

Meanwhile, the governor of Telangana, Tamilisai Soundararanjan assured the family of the victim that she will do everything “legally and constitutionally”. And the victim will get justice with the setting up of fast-track court and the trial will be held on a daily basis. She also said that the police will be asked to conclude the probe and file the charge sheet against the accused as early as can.

Protestors across the country are asking for the death penalty

Angry protestors gathered outside the Shadnagar police station and hurled stones and slippers at the police officers after they were not allowed to enter the police station. Protestors across the country are asking for the death penalty for the accused.

The 26-year-old veterinary surgeon was murdered and gang-raped in Shamshabad by four men on Wednesday night. As per the police, the four accused punctured the rear wheel of her scooter, offered to help. Then they dragged the surgeon to a secluded spot close to a toll plaza and gang-raped her.

In the press conference, Cyberabad police said that the accused had seen the woman parking her scooter at the Shamshabad toll plaza and hatched the plan over drinks.
