Police Chief of San Francisco quits over Racism row

According to a report, the police chief of San Francisco, Greg Suhr stepped down from his post hours after a policeman shot a young black woman driving suspected stolen car.

Notably, Mr Suhr and city police earlier faced a lot of criticism over shooting black people on suspection.

In a conference the Mayor of the city, Mr. Lee said that he hoped that resignation would “help to heal the city”.

Notably, the mayor always supported Mr. Suhr further added “The Progress we have made has been meaningful but it has not been fast enough, not for me and not for Greg, and that’s why he has asked for the resignation of Mr. Suhr.”

Now Toney Chaplin as acting police chief.
