Orange or Saffron colour is the symbol of purity, it represents fire and it has always been believed that fire absorbs all impurities in it and burns them. This colour connotation has a sacred meaning for the Hindu. It is the colour of holy men and rishis who have renounced the world. Wearing the colour symbolizes the quest for light. It is the battle colour of the Rajputs, the warrior caste.
