Yes, this is the only reason why Prime Minister Narendra Modi has a huge fan following. He always takes a quick action that too influential one. And this time he is here to combat black money.
In order to tackle the huge problem of black money Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday announced that Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes will be invalid from the midnight that means it will be a ‘mere paper’. And ever since the news broke out social media is flooding over with jokes and trolls on them.
This revolutionary decision came out after a cabinet meeting. The Prime Minister said that the Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 denomination notes can be deposited in banks and post offices, and also exchanged across the bank counter by showing government-issued ID proof.
Apart from this ATM services will be too deactivated till November 11. From 10th November to 30December one can change their currency otherwise, it will become a waste. Government hospitals will accept the note of 500 for next 72 hours. Need not worry people this revolutionary decision has no impact on online transactions.
New note of 500 and 2000 will be introduced
Although Narendra Modi has banned 500 and 1000 notes but with this he made another important announcement that new notes of 500 and 1000 will be introduced soon. Senior government officials and Reserve Bank of India chief Urijit Patel t revealed what the new Rs 500 and 2000 notes will look like, announcing that these will be launch on Thursday, November 10.
Notes of 2000 will almost have a pink texture. The menace of Black Money will be definitely uprooted by this influential step taken by Modi.
The new series of Rs 500 notes, said economic affairs secretary Shaktikanta Das will be called the Mahatma Gandhi series of bank notes and they also carry a picture of Delhi’s Red Fort. He further added that the 2000 rupee note that is being introduced carries an image of the Mangalyaan to celebrate India’s Mars mission. Today is a bank holiday as well.
Petrol pumps and ATM’s flooded with crowd
Black money which was one of the major problems India was struggling with will be not a problem now.
As soon as people got to know about Prime Minister’s announcement of declaring notes of 500 and 1000 invalid, ATM’s and petrol pumps were flooded with people in order to exchange their notes. Now all we can say is Rs100 has emerged as a new hero.
