Navjot Singh Sidhu sacked from The Kapil Sharma Show after comments on Pulwama Attack

The whole nation was in shock due to the heinous Pulwama attack that happened on February 14.  The convoy of 2500 Army personnel was attacked by a car carrying 100 kg of explosives. The suicide bomb attacked killed 42 Jawans and left many others severely injured. The entire nation is mourning on Pulwama Attack. There is a rage in the nation and people want the Indian government to take revenge.

Right after the attack, people started tweeting about the attack. A lot of reactions were taken by many politicians and prominent personalities.  During a media interaction, Navjot Singh Sidhu spoke about the attack and said, “Nations cannot be held responsible for dastardly acts of terrorists. The terrorists do not have deen, mazhab (sect, religion). There are good, bad and the ugly. Every institution cannot be blamed for the dastardly act.”

Notably, his comments didn’t go well with the tweepals. And it faced harsh criticism from the people all across the nation. Since then, social media has been flooded with posts demanding Navjot Singh Sidhu exit from the Kapil Sharma Show. Sony TV doesn’t want to be dragged in any Kind of controversy. The channel decided to sack Navjot Singh Sidhu and he has been replaced by Archana Puran Singh.  Notably, this is not the first time when Sony TV has taken a stand over a controversy. After Anu Malik was named in #Metoo movement, he was sacked from Indian Idol 10.

Latest update on Pulwama Attack

The bodies of soldiers who died in the attack are reaching homes today.  Last evening, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Union Minister Rajnath Singh, Nirmala Sitharaman along with Congress President Rahul Gandhi paid tributes to 40 CRPF soldiers as their body arrived Palam airport. The images that are coming from the families of martyred jawans are heart-wrenching. We salute the courage of their family.
