Fanney Khan Movie Review: Perfect choice for the Friendship Day Weekend
The much -awaited film of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Anil Kapoor, Fanney Khan, has hit the theatres today. After a long time, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Anil Kapoor are sharing the silver screen together. Fanney Khan is a story of hopes, dreams, and relationships. It is about a father who leaves no stone unturned in making his daughter a singing sensation. Friendship Day is around the corner and Fanney Khan is a perfect choice for the D- Day.
Movie Review of Fanney Khan
Anil Kapoor plays Prashant Sharma in the film, who is locally known as Fanney Khan. He idolizes Shammi Kapoor and lives only for his dreams of superstardom. He fails to achieve his dream and hence pins his newborn, even naming her Lata. He wants to make his daughter Lata Mangeshkar. As a debutante, Pihu Sand has done justice to her character. She understands the vulnerability of character well. As hotshot singer Baby Singh, Aishwarya Bachchan looks absolutely stunning, but her storyline was not convincing. Rajkumar Rao as Prashant’s trusted friend as Adhir shows his usual flair within a limited scope. His comic timing was brilliant as always. His chemistry with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was a sheer delight. Divya Dutta, who played Anil Kapoor’wife in the film, was brilliant as a supporting cast.
The narration of Film and Second half
Film’s narrative goes slightly out of track in the second half. For example, there is no real story for Baby Singh. The only person she has in her life is a creepy manager. The second half is long and laborious. If we talk about Music, the songs in the film are vibrant and peppy. Ache Din is a pleasant one. It does strike some wrong chords but it is worth a watch. It starts on a high note and has its moments of glory and showstopper is clearly Anil Kapoor. We rate it 3 stars.
