Meditate to get pain relief without drugs


Mindfulness meditation can provide an alternative to the usual pills to relief pain based drugs, especially for those, who suffer from chronic pain, according to a new research.


It is especially useful for those who have built up a tolerance to opioid-based drugs and are looking for a non-addictive way to reduce your pain, researchers said.

Mindfulness meditation does not use the addictive endogenous opioid system to reduce pain; but uses naturally occurring opioids body as an alternative therapy.
