Kabir Singh emerges as the biggest opener for Shahid Kapoor, Mints 20.21 crore on day one

Kabir Singh earned 20.21 crore on day one at the Indian Box Office.  The remake of Arjun Reddy is the biggest opener for Shahid Kapoor. The movie released with packed houses and attracted young fans.  Kabir Singh has got mixed reviews from the audience but word of mouth varies from average to excellent.

His previous biggest opener was Padmaavat which earned 19 crores. The movie is the biggest opener in non-holiday. Total Dhamaal was the previous topper in a non-holiday release which earned 16.50 crore.

Kabir Singh is the fourth biggest opener of 2019

Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, this movie is the 4th biggest opener of 2019. The top three are Bharat (42.30), Kalank (21.60), and Kesari (21.06).

Bollywood Trade analyst Taran Adarsh gave away the exact figures of day one on his social media handles. It released in 3123 screens across India

The movie has released with almost no competition as Bharat is entering its 3rd week.  It released in 3123 screens across India and 493 screens overseas which makes it 3616 screens Worldwide. It witnesses excellent occupancy throughout the day which increased in the night.
