Janamasthmi 2018 is around the corner. It would be celebrated on September 2 in most of the cities of India.  Janamasthmi celebrates the birth anniversary of  Lord Krishna, the eight avataar of Lord Vishnu. Janamasthmi 2018 will be celebrated on the 8th day of Krishna Paksha of the month of Shravan in Hindu calendar. His devotees observe fast until midnight when Krishna is believed to have been born. Lord Krishna was Arjun’s mentor. He had taught him some very important life lessons.

1. Always think with a Calm Mind

Lord Krishna says the mind is restless and difficult to restrain. But you can keep it calm by continuous spiritual practice.  The first step towards gaining clarity about any situation is to keep your mind calm and clear. Although the process takes a lot of effort, it is not impossible. One way is meditation and another way is distancing yourself from the situation not physically but mentally.

2. Be Ready for Change

Change is permanent in this world. There would times when you will feel lethargic and bored. At that time, change your direction, give yourself a new challenge. This will give you a boost.  To break the monotony and to boost your creativity changing your direction is important.

3. Set your Standards High

Once you have decided on your course of action, set your standards high. Benchmark your success and then create newer highs. The greatest achievers keep pushing themselves for gaining a greater level of mastery.

4. Treat everyone equally

To make your life easy, treat everyone equal. Lord Krishna says to treat everyone with the same lens of impartiality. You should not discriminate against people on the grounds of their caste, creed, and color.

He valued his friendship. His love for Sudhama was pure. He never differentiated between poor and rich. Lord Krishna says that you should always value your friendship.
