International Yoga Day is celebrated on 21st June every year


India amongst many others things has also given a secret to living a healthy and happy life in the form of Yoga to the universe. Yoga doesn’t only keep us physically fit but makes us more mentally active too.

The world now acknowledges the importance of Yoga

Lately, the world has adopted this physical, mental and spiritual practice which originated in ancient India. The United Nations General Assembly has dedicated 21st June to celebrate International Yoga Day to remark the importance of Yoga.

ANi recently tweeted a video in which ITBP (Indo- Tibetan Border Police) was seen performing the yoga at an altitude of 18,000 feet in Ladakh. It is still a week left before the International Yoga day and these brave soldiers have already started to bring the ambiance of fitness and health to the earth.

ITBP soldiers could be seen doing the Surya Namaskar and Sukhasan (Meditation) in the video.

The first International Yoga day was celebrated on 21st June 2015 where Prime Minister Narendra Modi and about 30,000 people performed the Yoga Asanas in New Delhi at Rajpath.

This year, it will be the fifth International Yoga Day which will be celebrated all over the World. ITBP also performed the Yoga last year at the same altitude.
