India defeated West Indies by 22 runs by DLS method
The Indian team defeated West Indies by 22 runs through DLS method a rain-affected second T20 at Florida. Rohit Sharma, Krunal Pandya and Washinton Sundar were the heroes of matches who never let the windies team take control of the match. India set a challenging target of 168 for the West Indies. The rain stopped the game when Windies were on a score of 98-4 in 15.4 overs. India was 22 runs ahead in the DLS method at the time when the match stopped due to rain.
The top three of India again shined in the match which India won by DLS method
India won the toss and Captain Virat Kohli chose to bat first. India started well and didn’t lose a wicket in powerplay and scored runs at a good rate. The top three of India again were the top scorers. Dhawan made 23, Rohit made 67 and Virat made 28. Krunal Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja finished things in style by accumulating 20 runs in last over which included 3 sixes. Krunal Pandya made quick 20 runs and help the team in reaching a challenging total.
Oshane Thomas and Sheldon Cottrell shared 2 wickets each. West Indies started badly and lost 2 wickets at 8 runs in 3 overs. West Indies experimented and opened with Sunil Narine which cost them badly as he was unable to score against consistent with his line Washington Sundar and Bhuvneshwar Kumar. Sundar gave only 12 runs in 3 overs and Bhuvneshwar gave only 7 runs in 2 overs and took 1 wicket. Krunal Pandya took two wickets and spoiled any chances of West Indies winning the match. Rovman Powell was the only who played freely from West Indies and scored 54 runs in 34 balls.
Pitch in the second T20 was better than the first T20
The pitch was very different from the first match. The pitch used on Saturday match was less dry and the one used on Sunday was drier. Bowl was coming a lot better on bat which helped India in winning the match. The third T20 match of the series will be played at Providence Stadium, Guyana.
