England playing at their home seems undisputable

England will go into the World Cup with lots of confidence. They have performed well against the star-studded Pakistan team recently. The biggest advantage for England and their chance to win maiden World cup is that they are playing at their home ground. They will take on South Africa in their first match at the Oval, London.

Strength: Most Balanced of the tournament

England is the most balanced side this year. They have the right balance of batting, bowling, and fielding to defeat any time any day. Jason Roy and Jonny Bairstow will be the most dangerous opening pair of the tournament. J Root, Morgan, Ben Stokes, Moeen Ali, J Buttler, and Joe Denly will be taking the responsibility of batting.

Loaded with great firepower

Captain Eoin Morgan recently became the player to play most ODI matches for England. His experience and form in the last few years will play a handy role for the England team to defeat other teams.  Jonny Bairstow, Jos Buttler, and Jason Roy is in great form and have the ability to destroy any bowling line-up.

Weakness: Pace bowling lacks the rhythm and support

Liam Plunkett, Chris Woakes, D Willey, Tom Curran, Adil Rashid, and Moeen Ali will be leading the bowling attack for the English team. Ben Stokes and Moeen Ali gives them good balance as an all-rounder. The Pace-attack doesn’t look that lethal for Mogan’s team as they don’t have any death over specialist. If Jofra Archer gets a go then that problem will be solved very easily.

The English team knows the conditions of the grounds better than any other team. All the players in the team have been in good form apart from Ben Stokes. Ben Stokes hasn’t been able to live up to expectations in the last 2 years but we know how dangerous he could be?

England will easily make into Semi-Finals. Their dream of the maiden title will depend upon the kind of cricket they play in Knock-Out games.
