World reacted to scrapping of Article 370. Pakistan panicked, China is cosy
The second term of Modi Government took a historic decision of scrapping the Article 370 which gave special status to Jammu and Kashmir. Most of the people of India celebrated the decision while there was one group which didn’t. Congress and TMC expressed their resentment on the issue, but it is understandable that it was a political disagreement on the matter. Here is how the world reacted to the scrapping of the Article 370
Pakistan has panicked
Pakistan has not taken the decision of changes in Article in 370, Union Territory division of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, Scrapping of Article 35 A lightly. They have taken some tough decisions which could affect the economy of their country which is already struggling. They have blocked all the trade with India. Pakistan also sent Indian ambassador back to India and called their representative from India. There are reports of Air Space ban again. Air Space ban was lifted just a month ago which caused massive loss to both countries.
America is closely monitoring the situation
The USA has said that they are closely monitoring the situation in India and asked to maintain peace and harmony in the valley. They also warned Pakistan on any infiltration at the LOC. Earlier, the US said that the reports of India informing the USA about the scrapping of article 370 is wrong. We were not informed by India on the matter.
China reacts lightly on the scrapping of Article 370
China, on the other hand, has not shown any strong reaction. They didn’t speak anything about the Article 370. But the division of Ladakh into an Independent Union Territory without legislature will definitely affect them. Lieutenant Governor will control everything and the Centre will have control over the local police. This will hurt China as they want to capture more of our country’s land in the Aksai Chin area in Ladakh.
No strong reactions from World on scrapping of Article 370
All the other countries including India’s ally Russia, United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia have not reacted and seems to be on the India’s side. Only Turkey has supported Pakistan and said that if Pakistan takes this matter to UN, United Nation Security Council, ICJ (International Court of Justice) or at any other International front then they will support Pakistan.
