Gulabo Sitabo promises a much-needed comic relief during these tough times
One of the most anticipated movies of Ayushmann Khurrana and Amitabh Bachchan ‘ Gulabo Sitabo’ was about to release theatrically. But, Covid-19 made it impossible as all the malls and cinema halls are shut. The makers of the film have decided to release on the OTT digital platform, Amazon Prime.
Previously, Shoojit Sircar worked with Ayushmann Khurrana ( Vicky Donor) and Amitabh Bachchan (Piku), both the movies were a big hit. Now this time the director, Shoojit Sircar brings Amitabh and Ayushmann together in his upcoming comedy film “Gulabo Sitabo”

The two-and-a-half-minute trailer shows a hilarious journey of an old landlord and a frustrated tenant. Bachchan plays the role of landlord and Ayushman nailed with his role of the egoistic tenant. The landlord, who loves his ‘Mahel’ a lot trying to throw his exasperate tenant out of his property. The annoyed landlord takes the legal route but the situation becomes complicated when Indian Archaeology Department steps in his property. The trailer also has some amusing punch line. Gulabo Sitabo promises a much-needed comic relief during these tough times.
The film is written by Juhi Chaturvedi, who has already worked with Shoojit Sircar in his previous film like Piku, Vicky Donor, October. The hit director-writer Jodi is definitely going to make the audience crazy with the dazzling direction and story. The film is produced by Ronnie Lahiri and Sheel Kumar under their production company Rising Sun Films and Kino Works.
Apart from the leading actor Ayushmann Khurrana and Amitabh Bachchan, Vijay Raaz is also playing the role of Inspector Pratap Vijay. The actor has always impressed the audience, Vijay proved his impeccable performance in the films like Delhi belly, Dishoom, Run. The music of the film is given by Shantanu Moitra, Abhishek Arora and Anuj Garg.
