Biographical movies or series have been highly successful in the last few years, be it MS Dhoni, Harshad Mehta Scam, The Legend of Bhagat Singh, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag and others. We all want to relive the glory days of famous personalities and know how they handled their life. Apart from learning, we get to know the real person when we watch a biopic. We get to know how they defeated challenges and became successful. There are so many people whose life we would want to see on big screens. Here is a list of few people whose biographies we all want to see on screens.

 

1. Lal Krishna Advani

Lal Krishan Advani is credited to have laid the foundation of Bhartiya Janata Party’s success. During the 90s, he went on many journeys throughout the country to increase the popularity of BJP using the issue of Ram Mandir. There are many aspects of Advani’s life that we don’t know – if he ever wanted to be a PM or even President, was he happy when Narendra Modi was selected as the PM candidate in 2013? If a biography is made, we will get to know the hard work done by him to prepare a base for BJP which was used by Narendra Modi and Amit Shah to make it the world’s biggest political party ever.

2. Sourav Ganguly

Sourav Ganguly, who was recently in news after being admitted in the hospital after he complained of the heart issue, had one of the most adventurous careers in India. From leading the Indian cricket team in a tough time to being accused of affecting the dressing room environment, from leading the team to World Cup final in 2003 to becoming the BCCI President, his life has been nothing less than a roller coaster ride. Although, dada has written an autobiography, but we want to see his life on a big screen. Ganguly had one of the best ever comebacks in the cricketing world in 2007 after he was dropped from the team for 2 years.

 

3. Indira Gandhi

We all have heard stories of emergency and how courageous, bold and charming Indira Gandhi was. Numerous books have been written on her but no one has made a movie on the and only lady Prime Minister of the country. Nobody knew at the time of Jawahar Lal Nehru that Indira will become PM of the country one day. But after the death of Lal Bahadur Shastri, she was made the Prime Minister. Leading the country in the liberation war in East Pakistan was one of the major achievements of Indira. We all would love to know more about her in a movie or in a TV series.

 

4. Sharad Pawar

Sharad Pawar’s iconic speech in pouring rain at Satara was one of the most iconic moments of politics in the last decade. It helped him to be relevant in Maharashtra and eventually helped him to form the government in Maharashtra with Shiv Sena and Congress. Sharad is considered as a Chanakya but he missed two opportunities to lead the country. Once it was in 1991, when PV Narsimha Rao was made the prime minister and the second one was when he rebelled against Sonia Gandhi in 1999. However, he later made his own party Nationalist Congress Party and became the chairman of the BCCI. It would be great to see the story of a man who was once told by a doctor that he doesn’t have a lot of days left in his life.

 

5. Yuvraj Singh

Yuvraj Singh played 2011 world cup with cancer and didn’t tell anyone about it. He kept doing blood vomit but didn’t let his courage and spirit break. He kept playing and finally won the World cup for the country in 2011. The stylish left-handed batsman was chosen as the Man of the tournament for his all-round effort in the tournament. He also played a key role in 2007 T20 World cup in which he hit 6 sixes in an over to Stuart Broad. We all were shocked when we came to knew that he had cancer, but he fought it and even won the battle. Who won’t like a movie on Yuvraj Singh?

 

6. Akshay Kumar

Akshay Kumar is today the most bankable Bollywood star in the Indian cinema. He does a lot of movies and most of them become hit. But his life was not always this easy for him. He used to work in a restaurant where he was picked by a director and rest is the history. His journey from rags to riches is an inspiration for many young people, which makes his biography a desirable thing.

 

7. Ratan Tata

Ratan Tata is an Industrialist and former chairman of Tata and sons who is known for his charitable works. His business ethics and philanthropic works has earned him a Padma Bhushan and Padma Vibhushan. He boldly got Tata Steel to acquire Corus, Tata Motors to acquire Jaguar Land Rover and Tata Tea to acquire Tetley. This turned his Tata group to become a global business, with more than 65 per cent revenues coming from sales and operations in over 100 countries. It would be a delight to watch Ratan Tata’s story.
