It is the first week of November, and we remember to bust fake news every week. However, like your bogus claims, ‘ mongers are also up-to-date with current affairs.

Therefore, we caught four misleading claims that are perfect for our Kisne Feka column about recent events in the nation and abroad.

Elon Musk Fired Vijaya Gadde, the head of legal affairs policy!

Fake news: A podcast video is going viral on social media. The viral clip begins with Vijaya saying, “I feel like we have failed in many ways, and I want to admit that.” Musk replied, “Failure comes with big penalties; you are fired.” According to social media claims, Elon Musk fired the head of legal affairs policy, Vijaya Gadde.

Truth Bomb: The viral claim is false. On March 6, 2019, Joe Rogan’s podcast was live-streamed on YouTube. The video features show host Joe Rogan, Vijaya, Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey, and political commentator Tim Poole.

Vijaya was responding to a question related to Twitter’s rules violation. She says, “I do think we have failed in a couple of ways, and I want to admit that… we have not done enough education about our rules; there are many people who violated the law, and many of them do not even know it… As a result, Elon Musk’s statement appears to have come from somewhere else.

 PM Greeting Morbi bridge contractors!

Kisne feka: A man’s video greeting PM Modi is going viral on social media. The netizens claimed that the man in the viral image was the contractor who repaired the suspension of Julto Pul in Morbi, Gujarat.

Foolproof: The viral claim is false. A similar image can be seen in Patrika’s report of October 14, 2021. The information title reads, “Gujarat’s Agriculture Minister Raghavji Patel meets PM Modi.”

Odhavji Raghavji Patel was the founder of the Ajanta group, and he passed away in 2012. The Overa Group did the renovation work.

Indonesian currency consists of Lord Ganesh on Notes; why aren’t we doing the same?

Fake news: An image is being circulated claiming that the 20,000 Indonesian rupiah currency note has an icon of Lord Ganesh. Kejriwal supported his demand by taking the example of Indonesia, which he declared, despite being a Muslim country, has the image of Lord Ganesh on its currency notes.

Truth Bomb: The viral claim is misleading. The image of the currency notes on Wikimedia, titled ‘Indonesian currency issued 1998–2005.” In this image, the icon of Lord Ganesh can be seen on the currency note.

 Banknote World‘s website shows a picture of the 20,000-rupiah banknote. On the obverse side of the Indonesian 20,000 Rupiah banknote from 1998 are the national emblem, a mythical statue, and the portrait of Indonesian independence movement activist Ki Hadjar DewAntara.

In 2008, the currency note showing the icon of Lord Ganesh was discontinued.

Pak’s Angry fan broke the TV!

Truth Bomb: The viral Video shared by Virendra Sehwag dates back to June 2016. Watching a football match between Turkey and Croatia, the man in the viral video broke his TV. The Viral Video is morphed.
