Exploring career options after 12th
The Board Exams bring a lot of tension and pressure for the students of class 12th. Not only for students, board exams are the real test, but they also put the parents to the test. As soon as a child enters in class 12th, the race for good marks starts in order to get into a good college.
In our country, a good student is defined by his/her marks and this is the only parameter on which a student is judged. Before exams one has to decide what career they want to pursue after 12th. Most of the colleges give admissions on the basis of Merit list. But what if someone does not fall in the merit list? So, where should those students go who have the caliber and talent but do not hold, the so called “Good Marks”.

Due to pressure from parents and society students feel that good marks in boards will prove their intelligence so they start running into the race to stand first. But students you have to understand that there are so many career options that are available after 12th in which marks are not important, you can simply prove yourself through an entrance exam.
Now, to pursue any career after 12th it is first important to have knowledge about the courses available.
If you are not getting admission in the college on the basis of your merit list that doesn’t mean that you are a mediocre or not a good student. You can opt for the professional courses such as Hotel Management, B.A.LLB, Fashion designing and Mass communication or any other vocational courses such as Web designing.
These professional courses provide you with a full-fledged degree program and the best part is you are not judged on your marks. You have to simply pass an entrance exam that is common for everyone despite of the marks you hold in your board exams.
Forms for these courses start getting out from the month of December. If you opt for Law program you have to crack the CLAT Exam and there four sub fields available in the course. You can directly opt for it after 12th, this a 5 year integrated program and with a single entrance you get access to 52 colleges.
However, if we talk about Hotel Management it is not about cooking or serving, there is so much to explore and most of students are not aware about the same. You can opt for the sub fields available in it such as Airline tourism etc.
After doing these courses you can earn well and these industries also pay well to freshers too. All what you have to do is just stay updated as that helps you in your entrance exams.
So, board exams 2015 are approaching and this is not the time to get panic. Just go easy on yourself and attain some clarity on what you want to do after the boards. Aim to score well but make sure that it isn’t your only goal.
