Former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister and Congress Party satrap Digvijay Singh is now in the dock for alleged scams relating to his tenure as Chief Minister.
A court in Bhopal has issued a NBW (Non-bailable warrant) against Singh for non appearance.
The alleged scam took place in the State Assembly Secretariet in the recruitment of personnel, when according to the complaint, people were given jobs and promotions with blatent disregard to established norms.
It is alleged that people were hired, overlooking qualification, age and other norms. Such canditates were then deputed to ‘highly remunerative’ departments like municipalities, state excise and transport.
The complaint was filed by the current Deputy Speaker of the Madhya Pradesh Assembly Shyam Lal Maithil by way of FIR in the police station in Jehangirabad in February last year.
