Dengue vaccine can be soon introduced in India

As dengue cases are rapidly increasing in India especially in National Capital, the World Health Organization has recommended introducing dengue vaccine in highburden countries like India.

Notably two months ago , the apex committee on health headed by the health secretary , had denied approval to a multinational firm for its dengue vaccine, when it went for a clinical trial.

According to sources that data presented by the firm was 43 percent against the requirement of 70 percent.

Though, the vaccine has been approved in four countries and now WHO has suggested to introduce it here in India also to help people to fight against Dengue.
