Delhi Literature Festival 2022: How Literature can make a difference?
The 10th Edition of Delhi Literature Festival kicked off on Wednesday. Notably, this year too, the festival will happen virtually. From Friday to Sunday of the last two weeks of February, many prominent faces will come together to celebrate the power of Literature. Well, literature is an important part of a society. It helps to shape young minds and to celebrate the importance of Literature, every year Delhi festival is organized.
The inaugural ceremony of the festival took place at DLF Avenue, Saket, in the presence of dignitaries including authors, ambassadors and others. Keeping in mind the current COVID situation, all the sessions will take place virtually this year as well.
A magical evening & Love for Literature
The event began on a cheerful note with artiste Vivaan performing a string of classic Bollywood numbers. His magical voice set the tone right for evening. This was followed by the welcome speech of Ajay Sharma, Founder – Director of Delhi Literature Festival.

Over the years, we have seen how Literature has made a difference in society. This is the 10th edition and we are super excited as we have many interesting sessions lined up. Notably, over the last nine years, Delhi Literature festival has hosted a galaxy of speakers from all across the world. In fact, it has engaged with numerous literature lovers through discussions, book readings and workshops.
Take a look at what all is lined up?
The List of authors this year includes Bestseller& Award Winner Amazon’s Popular Book of 2021 in Business and Economics, author of Roaring Lambs. Mr. Sreedhar Bevara. Interestingly, the fest will also host Laureate and Author Dr. Kailash Satyarthi, Dr. Shashi Tharoor and Union Culture Minister Shri Kishan G Reddy Union Minister& Author Bhupundera Yadav with economist IIa Patnaik’s bestseller “ The Rise of BJP”.
Apart from it, the festival will Politician Manish Tewari who analysed India’s counter – terrorism through his book ‘10 Flashpoints 20 Years’. Top romance writer Ajay Kumar Panday, and Journalist Sagarika Ghose who has penned down a book on Atal Behari Vajpayee will also grace the event.
The concluding session of the festival will witness Shranaya Bhattacharya who will discuss her book Desperately Seeking Shah Rukh Khan: India’s Lonely Young Women and The Search for Intimacy and Independence.
