Veteran CPI(Communist Party Of India) leader Ardhendu Bhushan Bardhan passed away at the age of 92.
Earlier on Saturday, his condition was described as ‘serious’ by CPI.
When it was detected in tests that there is a blood clot in his brain since then his treatment was going on.
CPI national secretary, D Raja said that AB Bardhan’s condition became critical suddenly and then he was shifted to ventilator.
In Maharashtra assembly polls 1957, Bardhan won as an independent candidate.
He then became the general secretary and then the president of the oldest trader union in India i.e. president of All India Trade Union Congress.
In 1990 he moved to Delhi politics. There he became the deputy general secretary of CPI.
