Chennai vs Delhi: Delhi have their eyes set for Maiden Title

Chennai Super Kings will take on Delhi Capitals at Visakhapatnam in Qualifier 2. Chennai is coming from a loss from Mumbai against Qualifier 1 and Delhi has won their last game against Sunrisers Hyderabad. Shreyas Iyer’s team has just witnessed the first ever win Playoffs.  Delhi’s team would fancy their chances to win their first ever IPL title.

Top-order a big concern for Chennai

Dhoni’s team is struggling with their top-order problem as Faf du Plessis and Shane Watson haven’t been able to score runs together. We have seen few instances where they have made runs but they made it alone. There hasn’t been any memorable opening partnership this season. CSK would need their International superstars to fire if they want to post a good total in Qualifier 2.

Pitch is expected to be on a slower side

Pitch is expected to be on a slower side which will help CSK’s spinners to exploit their chances. CSK boasts of Ravindra Jadeja, Imran Tahir, and Harbhajan Singh who are experienced and know how to bowl in big matches. MS Dhoni has been in top form this season and has dug his team out many times from problems. Dwane Bravo and Deepak Chahar will be taking the responsibility of pace.

Risabh Pant: The X factor of the team

Delhi capitals may not have Rabada anymore but they still have experienced Ishant Sharma, Trent Boult, and young Keemo Paul. The spin department is a bit of liability even though they have Amit Mishra and Axar Patel. Sandeep Lamichhane should get a game here as he could be lethal on a slow wicket. Apart from Colin Munro, everybody in the team has scored runs. The X-factor of capitals would be wicket-keeper batsman Risabh Pant.

Clash of master and apprentice in  Chennai vs Delhi clash

This is also touted as the clash of master and his apprentice as Dhoni will face on Risabh Pant. They both are the X-factor of their team and have played some match-winning innings for their respective teams in the past.
