Semi-high speed Gatimaan Express launched successfully on Delhi-Agra route in the month of April, after that Talgo Train trial is being organized as part of Railway’s strategy to increase the train’s speed.
Today, the brake system of Spain made Talgo train was tested and the trial run between Mathura and Kosi Kalan station.
The ADRM of Agra division of North Central Railway said, “Brakes were applied a couple of times in the Talgo train during its journey between Mathura and Kosi Kalan to note how much time the train takes to stop in case brake is applied before signal. The distance covered after the application of brakes was also recorded”.
The same test will be repeated tomorrow.
The Spanish is expected to be serviced on Delhi-Mumbai sector. Talgo train to envision the journey of Delhi – Mumbai can be completed in about 12 hours.
