1. Nagarkot

Nagarkot is a scenic destination which is located east of Kathmandu. It is elevated about two-thousand meters above sea level and is the second highest peak in Kathmandu. The best time to visit the place is between October and March as the skies are clear.

There are plenty of resorts in Nagarkot which offer full board accommodation. Situated below the peak, many tourists opt to stay here and trek to the top of the hill to watch the sunrise. It is the best time to view the mountain ranges as the skies are clear. You will get the opportunity to have a magnificent view of the breathtaking Himalayan peaks of Nepal including Mount Everest. The place provides many options like hiking, rock climbing, bird watching, pony riding, mountain biking and paragliding for nature and adventure lovers.

2. Pokhara 

Pokhara is the perfect destination for leisure in Nepal. It is popularly known as the ‘Gateway to Annapurna Circuit,’ and it offers a wonderful opportunity for paragliding.
Pokhara is the & Tourist Capital of Nepal, & and is the second-largest city in Nepal, after Kathmandu. It is at an altitude of more than 900m, and is one of the highest as well.

The city is divided into two parts – Lakeside Pokhara and Old City. Phewa Lake makes for
breathtaking photo scenery and a boating paradise. It has beautiful shops, dreamy cafés,

3. Lumbini

This place has crowds of Buddhist pilgrim’s everyday, which is the traditional birthplace of Lord Buddha. The archeology is of around 550 B.C., and it attracts scholars, scientists and curious visitors. Here the Buddha’s mother, Maya Devi, gave birth near a tree in the garden, which is now a temple which has her name. It was designed by a Japanese architect Kenzo Tange, and you can also see many monasteries, sacred ponds, meditation centers and cultural facilities in the complex.

4. Khumbu

This place experiences thousands of determined adventure travelers every year to trek to the summit of Mt. Everest. Khumbu is located in the northeastern Nepal. It is located within the Sagarmatha National Park, and is home to the Sherpa village of Namche Bazaar. Nepal’s foremost Buddhist center, which is the Tengboche Monastery, is located in the Khumbu. You will be able to find a variety of accommodations at the monastery, and many of them offer beautiful views of the tallest mountain on Earth.

5. Bhaktapur

Bhaktapur has a rich architecture, though a lot of demolition was caused due to the tragic
earthquake of 2015. We can find many mesmerizing temples with their exquisite architecture and art. Bhaktapur Durbar Square is one of the best places to visit if you want to see excellent architecture and carvings. Apart from visiting the temple, you can also shop here. The place is known for souvenirs, pottery, puppets, masks and cultural handicrafts. The city is situated on the trade route between India and Tibet and you can have a clear view of the Himalayas. It is the third-largest city in Nepal and one of the most popular tourist destinations where Bhaktapur Durbar Square is the most common attraction.

6. Sagarmatha National Park

It is one of the main revenue earners for the tourism of Nepal; it is the closest you can get to Mount Everest if you are not attempting a climb. It is a is home to the world’s highest peak, Mount Everest and other high peaks like Lhotse, Cho Oyu, Thamserku, Nuptse, Amadablam and Pumori. Sagarmatha is the ideal destination for trekking in Nepal and gives you an opportunity to experience the beautiful views of the magnificent Mount Everest and the Himalayan Range. It is home to unique flora and fauna, especially to the rare Snow Leopard species. The diversity in this park makes it one of the best places to visit in Nepal. The best time to visit is from October-November and March to May. You should avoid visiting here from June to September as it receives heavy rainfall, which makes it difficult for hiking and camping. December to February is very cold and snowfall is common during these months.
