Sexist remark has hurt both men and Women of India: Rama Devi
Rama Devi had earlier declared that she would never forgive the SP lawmaker for his remark. She said, “Remarks has hurt both men and women of India. He has obtained these bad habits, he will not understand this and I am not here to hear such remarks.”
Remarks from the Azam Khan were so offensive that it was removed immediately from the lower house records. In his defence, the Rampur MP said that his remarks were misinterpreted.
Azam Khan said he would resign if his remarks were unparliamentary
After he made sexist remarks on the BJP leader he immediately said, “You are like my sister, I would never say anything like this. I had a long political career and if there is anything unparliamentary in what I said then I will resign from the Lok Sabha.”
He was vigorously criticized for the comment from the leaders present at the proceedings at that time.
