A study by researchers in Denmark has found that taking low levels of Aspirin daily reduces the risk of colorectal cancer. In individuals under study, the risk was found to be reduced by 27%.
Though the research has its own limitations since the participants own share of problems could play a significant role in the increase of the risk of cancer.
Also, side effects associated with aspirin should be taken into account. Long term use of aspirin could lead to gastrointestinal bleeding. Thus, one needs to take into account all the aspects before blindly following the research.
