Ankita Lokhande bared her heart in a chat show & urged people to Love Themselves enough

Ankita Lokhande was one of the most highlighted names of the year 2020. After the sudden demise of Sushant Singh Rajput, Ankita received mixed reactions on the internet. A lot of people called out her for leaving Sushant while some applauded her for being true to him. Recently, during an interview with Bollywood Bubble, she bared her heart on break up with Sushant, endless trolling on social media, and her career choices.  During the conversation, she shared her side of the story and made some shocking revelations.

When Ankita turned down big banner films

Ankita revealed that she was offered many big banner films but she turned them down. Ankita Lokhande who went on to become a household name with Pavitra Rishta was the first choice for SRK’s Happy New Year but later the role was played by Deepika Padukone.  In fact, she was approached by Sanjay Leela Bhansali for Bajirao Mastani but she refused to do the film. Not only this, she said No to Sultan and Badlapur back then. During the conversation, Ankita revealed the reason behind it,  and said, she was trying to build a man and she did that, and she has no regrets about rejecting the offers. Back then, Sushant and Ankita were dating each other. She wanted to get married to Sushant and start a family.  Later, Ankita made her Bollywood debut with Manikarnika. She was last seen in Baaghi 3 and she is yet to sign her next film.

People come and say You left Sushant – How do you know that?

Putting rest to all speculations about their alleged break up, Ankita revealed Sushant chose his career and moved on. She said her break up affected her personal and professional life. For two and a half years, she was dealing with a lot of things. Ankita further added, People come and say, “You left Sushant. How do you know it? Nobody knows my part. I am not blaming anyone here but Sushant made his choice very clear and I respected his decision.” Ankita also admitted that at times, her honesty has backfired on her.

She talked about her Casting Couch experience

During the candid conversation, Ankita also spoke about her casting couch experience. She revealed that she faced it two times in her life. She said, “I am a very strong person and people often get intimidated by me.  But it was a bad experience and I really wanted to give it back to that person. I simply walked out of the project.”

Ankita bared her heart and said when people troll my parents, I feel bad. They judge me for everything I do on social media. Well, I have no problem with that. But when they dragged my parents, I thought it’s time to break the silence. Nobody knows what I went through in 2016 and in 2020. Both were the toughest years of my life. She went on to preach to people the importance of self – love. Ankita admitted the fact that she has learnt balance from her beau Vicky Jain.  She urged all the young people to value themselves. Ankita revealed that over the years she realized that love is important but one should not forget his or her worth. She preached to practice self – love and beautifully explained that if you can’t love yourself, how will you love others?

Ankita Lokhande dated Sushant Singh Rajput for 7 years and both were planning to tie the knot in December 2016. But destiny had other plans. After Sushant’s untimely demise, she stood like a rock with his family and came out as a strong person! She is indeed an inspiration.
