A Unique Teachers’ day Celebration

A Unique Teachers’ day Celebration

On 3rd September 2014, around forty four lakh Indian students took pledge to abstain from alcohol, tobacco and all kinds of drugs across India.

For this occasion, children of Vidya Bharati Akhil Bhartiya Educational Organization in and around Delhi gathered at Adhyatmik Sadhna Kendra, Mehrauli. The event was a part of ‘Anuvrat’- An addiction free oath ceremony, organized by Archarya Tulsi Birth Centenary Committee in the presence of Acharya Shri Mahashraman ji.

Some of the eminent personalities present on the occasion were actors, Anil Kapoor and Satish Kaushik, the National Spokesperson BJP-Meenakshi Lekhi, and Dr. Minendra Risal, Minister of Information & Communication (Govt of Nepal).

Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam while supporting this initiative said, “I have worked a lot with Archarya ji Tulsi all over India promoting this Anuvrat Movement. It was our vision to create heaven on earth, then going back to heaven. Every school student should follow rules of Anuvrat for ignited & bright India.”

Kamal Kumar Duggar, the Chief Convener of Archarya Tulsi Birth Centenary Committee said, “This national de-addiction oath ceremony is a tribute to Late Jain Acharya Shri Tulsi on his 100th birth anniversary and this is the best gift Indian students could give to their teachers on the upcoming teachers’ day. I have only extended a helping hand to create an addiction free society. ”

Anil Kapoor, who was quite impressed by the Movement’s message, said, “It is a wonderful event. Though I have seen lot of NGO’s who have works for the upliftment of society, children & women but Anuvrat Movement started by Acharya tulsi is the only one in India that is working to create an addiction free nation.”

Meenakshi Lekhi further added, “Today’s students are tomorrow’s future. I have not come across any organization in India which has been working towards inculcating such moral values in school children to create an addiction free India.”

Meenakshi Lekhi further added, “Today’s students are tomorrow’s future. I have not come across any organization in India which has been working towards inculcating such moral values in school children to create an addiction free India.”

Taking a clue from the word Anuvrat, wherein Anu means atom & Vrat means vows, it is only self explicable that this movement motivates students and the community to take up the values and the teachings forward by joining hands to create an ethical & moral environment around.
